A new option on three JLG Industries Inc. telehandlers provide boom control from outside the cab.

With the ability to step out of the cab for placement, the company said remote boom control on the 1644, 1732 and 1075 gives operators the ability to precisely place material on places such as rooftops that would be otherwise difficult to see.

Using the remote control, operators can take command of machine functions from engine startup to boom raise/lower and fork tilt.

Along with the new tech option, the company has also added to its high capacity telehandler line. It introduced the 2733, with a 26,600-pound maximum capacity last month.
